Stan and Ollie filming took part over various parts of England including much of the street scenes taking place at the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley, other street scenes were filmed in London near Strand. The theatres in use were filmed in London (Fortune Theatre and Lyceum), Bristol (Hippodrome) and Birmingham (Old Rep Theatre).
