The Christmas Reservations filming locations behind the Treeline Ski Resort are the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, the North Lake Tahoe area, and the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Holly Anderson (Melissa Joan Hart) runs the Treeline Lodge and Ski Resort, just like her parents and grandparents before her. As she and her father, Tom Anderson (Michael Gross) get ready for Christmas, she’s unexpectedly reunited with her old college boyfriend, Kevin Portilla (Ricardo Chavira).
Melissa Joan Hart’s 2019 Lifetime movie was written by Juliet and Keith Giglio, after the trio discussed the idea of a ski resort movie on the set of A Very Nutty Christmas.
“We started talking about everything that comes with staying at a ski resort — making reservations, picking the right ski package, and so forth… At the same time, the holidays tend to bring out people's reservations about life, love, and growing old.”
Keith Giglio, Co-Writer
Where Was Christmas Reservations Filmed?
The 2019 Lifetime movie Christmas Reservations was filmed at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort in Nevada. It’s one of several Melissa Joan Hart Lifetime movies filmed in Lake Tahoe, including her turn behind the cameras for Feliz NaviDAD, which was filmed in nearby Carson City. And the Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Clarissa Explains It All star surprised a Lake Tahoe donut shop with a mention in Dear Christmas.
Hart also shared that the cast’s own great experience at the Treeline Ski Resort location brought extra magic to the screen.
“[We] had such fun on the set and everyone was so happy… We shot it in Lake Tahoe, which is beautiful, and we just got to have a lot of fun together. When you’re having fun behind the scenes, it really translates to the audience and they can see that joy.”

In fact, she loves the area so much that she now lives in Lake Tahoe with her family.
Christmas Reservations Location
Treeline Lodge Christmas Movie Location
The real Treeline Lodge Lifetime movie location is the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino on Country Club Drive, Incline Village in Nevada. Incline Village is a popular ski destination, with the slopes of Diamond Peak on the doorstep and hiking trails winding through the Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park.
The Christmas Reservations filming location used as the Treeline Ski Resort becomes completely snowbound in the Melissa Joan Hart movie. In fact, it’s a year-round resort that is deep in skiing country during the winter and a sunny lakeside resort in the summer. Nevada’s Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe sits between the mountains on one side and the lake on the other.
Adirondack Mountains
The Treeline Lodge is in the Adirondack Mountains in New York, but the Christmas Reservations filming location is in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The mountain range crosses California and Nevada, with Lake Tahoe perched on the border.
While the Lake Tahoe area is known for its lakeside life and beaches, the Adirondacks are famous for their autumn foliage. And of course, both are enviable ski slopes just like the Treeline Ski Resort’s.
