Find out exactly where Christmas in Notting Hill was filmed including London’s Regent Street and Acklam Village Market, Dublin’s Hill Pub, Breretons jewellers, Parnell Street and Capel Street, Killruddery House, and Belfast’s National Football Stadium.

When schoolteacher Georgia Bright (Sarah Ramos) and her father, Michael (Conor Mullen), decide to join little sister, Lizzie (Joelle Rae) in London for the holidays, Georgia doesn’t expect to find love.

And neither does Graham Savoy (William Mosely), who can’t believe he’s actually met someone who doesn’t know him as Newbourne Football Club’s star player.

Was Hallmark’s Christmas in Notting Hill Filmed in London?

Christmas in Notting Hill really was filmed in London around Notting Hill, but it was also shot in Dublin and Belfast. Look out for the 2023 Hallmark movie’s real London locations during the Portobello Road Market scenes in particular.

But there’s a real mixture of English and Irish filming locations in the movie – here are some of the places to look out for.

Christmas in Notting Hill Filming Locations

The 2023 Hallmark movie Christmas in Notting Hill’s filming locations in London, Dublin and Belfast include Capel Street, the Hill Pub in Ranelagh, Killruddery Yarn, Lucan Village Park, Portobello Road, Acklam Road, Regent Street and the National Football Station at Windsor Park.

We think these locations make a convincing match, but in any case, they’re all great settings for a cosy Christmas romance.

Look out for one of London’s premier shopping streets – Regent Street is one of the first real London filming locations in Christmas in Notting Hill.

Lined with stores like Hamley’s and Liberty’s, it’s at the heart of the West End’s circuit with Oxford Street’s department stores to the north and Piccadilly’s Fortnum and Mason and Waterstones to the south.

And of course, it’s home to spectacular Christmas lights each year. As seen in movies like Last Christmas, London’s West End goes all-out during the holidays.

AFC Newbourne

The Newbourne Football Club stadium location in Christmas in Notting Hill is the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park in Belfast. Look out for the distinctive seating and the sponsorship banners, which belong to the real stadium location.

You can see it as part of Irish FA tours, which tell you more about the history of Northern Irish football station.

And did you see a copy of Horse & Hound Christmas Special which the girls’ dad is reading after Georgia returns from AFC Newbourne?

We think this could be a nod to the Richard Curtis movie, Notting Hill – Hugh Grant’s character bluffs his way into an interview with Anna by pretending to be a reporter with Horse & Hound magazine.

The Hill Pub

The Hill in Ranelagh was decorated in British Flags, along with out-of-season Christmas decorations for filming in April 2023. Locals soon took an interest in Christmas in Notting Hill appearing in the Dublin neighbourhood.

When it’s not appearing as a Hallmark movie location, Ranelagh is a smart residential neighbourhood that’s steeped in art, literature and history.

Notting Hill

The Notting Hill street scenes were filmed on location near Notting Hill Market around Tavistock Gardens, and in Dublin’s Parnell Street.

Director Ali Liebert shared a Christmas in Notting Hill BTS reel of the cast and crew in action around some of the locations.

Portobello Road Market

The Portobello Road location in Christmas in Notting Hill were filmed along the real Portobello Road in West London, around Portobello Road Market and at the junction with Acklam Road.

Look out for shots of Alice’s, an antique shop that’s also known as the filming location for Mr Gruber’s shop in the Paddington movies.

Christmas in Notting Hill’s food market scenes were filmed at Acklam Village food market under the Westway.

The thriving street food market has sadly closed between filming and the movie’s release in November 2024, for redevelopment in the area.

Jeweller

The jewellery shop location in Christmas in Notting Hill is Brereton’s on Capel Street in Dublin.

Brereton Jewellers is a family business that dates back a hundred years, and it’s just one of the independent shops you can find in the area. Established in the 17th Century, Capel Street is known for them, and for the area’s diverse restaurants.

Notting Hill Café

The Notting Hill Café filming location is the Black Sheep Pub at the corner of pedestrianised Capel Street and Parnell Street, Dublin.

If you turned the other way to Graham and Georgia, you would end up at the corner of bustling O’Connell Street in a few minutes.

Hallmark’s Christmas in Notting Hill park location is Lucan Village Park in County Dublin.

The village of Lucan sits alongside the River Liffey in the Dublin Mountains, where it’s surrounded by local heritage and green spaces.

Winter Carnival

We think the Winter Carnival scene in Christmas in Notting Hill was filmed at Kilruddery House and Gardens in Bray, County Wicklow.

You might have already seen Killruddery House onscreen in anything from The Tudors or Becoming Jane to the 2024 Netflix romcom, Irish Wish.

Located a short drive outside Dublin, Killruddery House is a 17th Century country house that was transformed into a gothic mansion in the 1820s.

But it’s not the grand house that’s used as the Christmas in Notting Hill filming location, because the scene actually takes place in Killruddery Yard.

This area is surrounded by eateries including the Grain Store, where the menus are designed around local produce – much of which comes from the house’s own walled garden.
