The Gentlemen on Netflix was filmed at Billingsgate Market, Loseley Estate, Badminton Estate, Greenland (Surrey Quays) Pier, Wrotham Park, Knebworth House, Detling Diner A249, Upper Bank Street, Printworks event venue, and Pall Mall’s Athenaeum and Reform Club.

Eddie Horniman (Theo James) has inherited a country estate after his father’s death – and a role in a drug dealing enterprise on the side. The new Duke of Halstead is quickly embroiled in Bobby (Ray Winstone) and Susie Glass’s (Kaya Scodelario) cannabis empire.

Like Guy Ritchie’s 2019 movie, The Gentlemen, the 2024 Netflix series was filmed in luxurious filming locations in London and around England. From members’ clubs in St James’s to stately homes in the Gloucestershire countryside, The Gentlemen series brings dodgy dealings to high society settings.

Where Was Netflix’s The Gentlemen Filmed?

The Gentlemen 2024 was filmed at Badminton in Gloucestershire, Loseley Estate in Surrey, Printworks in Rotherhithe, Knebworth House in Hertfordshire, Upper Bank Street in Canary Wharf, a Thames Clipper pier, private clubs in St James’s, Billingsgate Market in Poplar and dozens of locations besides.

Expect the glossiest London venues, lived-in country estates, and unexpected locations from a former printworks in Southwark to an American diner in Kent.

The Gentlemen 2024 Locations

Halstead Manor

The real Halstead Manor location from The Gentlemen is Badminton Estate in Gloucestershire. In Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series, Halstead Manor is the mansion Eddie inherits from his father, and the centre of the Glass family’s longstanding drug business.

But in reality, this elegant Grade I-listed property is the home of the Duke and Duchess of Beaufort. And at one point, Daniel Ings slipped and broke the Duke’s rule of keeping off the grass - to the dismay of Guy Ritchie, who had to smooth things over.

The Gentlemen was filmed in the house inside, outside, and around Badminton Estate. And if this filming location looks familiar, perhaps it’s because this stately home in the Cotswolds has previously appeared onscreen as Cliveden in the BBC series The Trial of Christine Keeler.

Then it popped up in Bridgerton Season 1, released in December 2020, when Badminton House was one of the Hastings House filming locations.

And if you’re wondering, the title of Duke of Halstead isn’t real. The way the title and Halstead Manor are passed on to Eddie Horniman instead of Freddy (Daniel Ings) isn’t completely accurate either.

If you want to take a deep dive, Town & Country break down how and why Eddie’s inheritance is highly fictionalised.

Further interior scenes for Halstead Manor were filmed at Badminton in Gloucesteshire and Loseley in Surrey. Badminton’s entrance hall is seen when Eddie arrives at Halstead Manor after being called back from the army to visit his dying father.

Look out for the distinctive wood panelling, fireplace and painting of Loseley’s Great Hall when the will is read out to Eddie and Freddy after the funeral.

Halstead Woodland

The Gentlemen’s Halstead woods scenes were filmed around the Losely Estate, near Guildford in Surrey. It’s an ideal woodland location because Losely House is surrounded by 1,400 acres of countryside.

You can visit the house and grounds of this The Gentlemen 2024 location on certain days throughout the summer – check the website for details.

Glassknuckles Boxing Club

The boxing match in Episode 2 was filmed at Printworks, a former nightclub in South London. Originally built for the Daily Mail Group in the 1980s, the Rotherhithe events venue quickly established itself on the music scene before redevelopment plans ended its run in 2023.

It may be set for redevelopment – but for now, Printworks London is the Glassknuckles boxing club.

Fish Market

The fish market location in The Gentlemen is Billingsgate Market in Poplar, London.

In the Episode 1 scene, Susie talks to drugs boss Tommy Dixon (Peter Serafinowicz), who is posing as a fishmonger at the seafood market. She must have got up early – the real Billingsgate opens between 4am and 9.30am every morning.

The Gentlemen’s Club

The Reform Club and the Athenaeum are the two filming locations used for Eddie and Stanley Johnston’s (Giancarlo Esposito) club in The Gentlemen. The Athenaeum at 107 Pall Mall, St James’s, is used for exterior shots, with its grand columns on show.

This private members’ club was founded 200 years ago, with the building following shortly after in 1830. As you might have guessed, the goddess statue overlooking the entrance is Athena.

Now, let’s follow Eddie and Uncle Stan inside the Reform Club, which appears as the club’s interior in The Gentlemen Episode 1. Look out for the distinctive entrance hall, which has appeared in everything from Bridgerton to Paddington.

The Reform Club was founded in 1836 at a property at 104 Pall Mall, until the current building was completed to Sir Charles Barry’s design in 1841.

Tower Bridge

You can’t miss it - Tower Bridge is the final filming location of The Gentlemen Episode 2. Eddie’s boat is seen sailing down the River Thames with the London skyline in the background, before the reverse shot reveals Tower Bridge.

It’s easy to find this London location from the Guy Ritchie Netflix series - and you can even experience it from the river, by night. There are plenty of Thames river cruises on offer, including the Illuminated River Official Boat Tour.

The Quay

The Thames quay where Eddie and Susie put Jethro (Josh Finan) onto to the boat is Greenland (Surrey Quays) Pier. Look out for it in Episode 3 of the Guy Ritchie Netflix series.

It’s at the end of Southwark’s Greenland Dock, which is situated between Canary Wharf Pier and Greenwich Pier. Greenland (Surrey Quays) Pier is operated by Uber Boats by Thames Clippers, who run a regular commuter service via the pier.

Mercy’s Motor Company

The real Mercy’s Motor Company location is on Barber’s Road in Stratford, just around the corner from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It appears as a filming location early in The Gentlemen Episode 3 and recurs throughout the episode.

Eddie’s Drive

Look out for Eddie driving the supercar along Upper Bank Street in Episode 3. This London location is lined with the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf, in the heart of the Docklands.

Bridgewater House

Wrotham Park Rob Farrow / Wrotham Park
Wrotham Park is The Gentlemen 2024’s Bridgewater House filming location. In the Guy Ritchie series, Bridgewater House belongs to Uncle Stan. The Palladian mansion in Hertfordshire dates back to 1734, when it was built for Admiral John Byng - and is still owned by his descendants.

You can’t visit the real Bridgewater House easily, but you can find Wrotham Park onscreen – it’s a popular filming location used in The Crown, The King’s Man and many more titles.

And Bridgerton fans will recognise it as Aubrey Hall, the Bridgerton family’s country retreat.

Patty's Diner

The Gentlemen's Patty's Diner location is the Detling Diner A249 in Detling Hill, Maidstone.

The American-style diner filming location appears at the start of Episode 3 of the Netflix series. Look out for it when the van pulls over into the diner's car park near the Shell garage. So while Patty's isn't the restaurant's real name, it is a real diner in Kent.

The Van Explosion

We think Episode 3’s van explosion was filmed at Durham Wharf to the east of Greenwich. The Gentlemen’s wharf location is just beside the Thames Barrier, and across the river from City Airport. If you look closely, you can see a plane approaching the airport during the scene.

Dorset Hall

The Gentlemen’s Dorset Hall location is Knebworth House, a Tudor mansion near Stevenage. In the 2024 Netflix series, Dorset Hall is home to the 8th Lord Bassington, until his dramatic death at the start of Episode 4.

When Max Bassington (Freddie Fox) takes over the house and title, he finds himself in control of an unexpected inheritance that might be even stranger than Eddie’s. If you want to visit this location (without the late Lord Bassington ruining your tour, of course), it’s easy to do. Knebworth’s house, gardens and park regularly open to visitors - check in advance for days, times and prices.

Ashford Cattle Market

Kent film Office confirmed that The Gentlemen series was filmed at Ashford Cattle Market. It’s a functioning livestock market in Kent, with regular auctions.
